Whenever I speak about cats to non-cat people, I often hear the question, “Are cats truly loving?” Their reputation has been seen as aggressive, selfish, feral, unloving, and untrustworthy. So, I have always understood that question, but constantly find myself upset by it. My response is always, “Cats are the most loving animals I have ever encountered.” Through my experience, a cat’s love is unlike anything I have ever experienced. They are not what some people may expect.

At some point in your life, you will encounter that one special cat. They will come into your life and change you in ways you would never expect. That moment when both your eyes meet for the first time. That first moment when you hold that precious kitty in your arms. The moment you hear their little voice meow for the first time. You have been instantly spiritually linked. It will feel as though this tiny little animal is half of your soul. As time goes on, you will feel the love as you get home from a long day and they greet you with excitement in their eyes and voice. As you wake up in the morning and they rub against your leg as you get up. Before you go to sleep at night, they will lay with you as they stare with so much love in their eyes. Most of all, when you are stressed or sad, they will take all of it away with just one glance, one meow, and one cozy snuggle.

The love of a cat will have you looking at life differently.
